Our Adoption Process
At Doodles of Westchester, we take great care in matching each of our puppies with loving, well-suited homes. Our process is designed to be thoughtful, personal, and enjoyable from start to finish.
1. Application
Your journey begins by completing our application. This helps us learn more about you, your home, and what you’re looking for in your future puppy.
2. Video Call
Once your application is approved, we’ll schedule a video call to connect, answer any questions, and ensure we’re the right fit for one another.
3. Reservation
If it feels like a perfect match on both sides, the next step is to sign our reservation agreement and submit a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve your place.
4. Staying Connected
After reserving, you’ll receive regular photo and video updates so you can watch your puppy grow and begin bonding along the way.
5. Pick Day (Around 5 Weeks)
At approximately five weeks, you’ll be invited to choose your puppy. This can be done in person or virtually, and we’ll help guide you based on temperament and personality.
6. Go-Home Day (8 Weeks)
Your puppy will be ready to go home at eight weeks, prepared to begin their new life with you.
Interest & Reservation Lists
If you would like to get on an interest list or reservation list, please fill out a puppy application form and I will inform you when a litter becomes available. Please note that to get on a reservation list, there is a $500, non refundable reservation fee, which will secure your spot on the list and be deducted from your balance owed when you pick up your new puppy. Should your plans change, that fee can be transferred to another waitlist list.
